SELL MY CLASSIC - The perfect tool for dealers online

Introducing 'Sell My Classic' – the easy way to sell your classic car (for private sellers). It's also the new way for Classic Car Dealers to buy quality stock direct from the public. How does it work?

Private sellers looking for an easy way to sell their classic are able to upload their cars via our custom seller dashboard, all potential listings are reviewed by our team to ensure the following:

- The car is of interest to our network (eg: a classic, future classic or specialist car)  

- The listing has all the relevant information – vehicle details, service history, work carried out etc plus upto 100 images

- The seller is realistic with the pricing, using our industry knowledge and the latest sales data, we work closely with the seller to agree a sensible reserve price. However, ultimately the bids will determine the final value of the vehicle.

- The car has not been written off / total loss

- Any outstanding finance has been settled

- Once a reserve has been set we will consign the car into our 1 day auction.

The auction, which is exclusively open to our network of approved dealers will run from 8AM to 2PM on a Tuesday. Allowing dealers to buy stock during work hours, not in the evening or at the weekend when they want to be selling. 

On the day of the auction, dealers will be able to see all available vehicles in the sale via the Classic Trade 'live listings' section. Dealers will also receive an email with a preview of some of the cars that will be featuring in the closed auction. Just like traditional auctions, the highest bid on the day wins (as long as it exceeds the reserve price). Your bids will be treated as proxy bid, so you can confirm your max bid and we will bid up in £100 increments on your behalf, meaning you will never over pay for stock.  

Traders will be able to login as normal to the Classic Trade site, submitting bids and asking questions / requesting more info using the private message feature. After the auction ends, if you're the highest bidder, you'll receive a link to pay a (4%+vat) deposit (the same process as Classic Trade). We will then connect you with the seller to arrange payment of the balance and collection of the vehicle. Our team will be on standby should there be any issues with the transaction, all sales will be considered final unless the car has been factually mis-described.
